- January 2026 – MLK Day of Service
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Day, Compassion Champions youth leaders assembled 105 hygiene kits for women living in shelters. This initiative centered on dignity, care, and well-being while empowering youth to lead through service. Compassion Champions volunteers partnered with South Ozone Park Wesleyan Church to serve lunch and support residents at a local shelter in Queens, NY. This initiative reinforced our commitment to consistent, relationship-driven service and sustainable community impact. - March 2026 – Women’s History Month Initiative
Compassion Champions partnered with community organizations to distribute 140+ wellness kits to women across three shelters. This initiative uplifted and supported women by providing essential care items that promote health, dignity, and well-being. Thank you to South Ozone Park Wesleyan Church and Target Long Island stores.

- January 2025 – Warm Hearts, Warm Kids Winter Drive
Collected, purchased, and distributed 50 coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to children and families in shelters, helping them stay warm during the winter months. - February 3, 2025 – Warm Hearts, Warm Kids Initiative
Partnered with MTO Global to distribute snacks, hygiene items, and socks to 50 children in a local shelter, offering comfort and basic necessities. - March 2025 – Read Across America Month
Collected, donated, and distributed books to children in two shelters, promoting literacy and a love for reading. - March 2025 – Women’s History Month Initiative
Partnered with local churches and businesses to collect donations and distribute feminine care kits to over 200 women in shelters, supporting their health and well-being. - April 2025 – Prom Dresses and Shoe Donations
Collected, sorted, and distributed prom dresses and shoes to youth in local shelters and the Queens Library Prom Attire Collection & Giveaway Event. - May 2025 – Hop Into Spring Event
In May 2025, we partnered with a local church and generous businesses to bring Hop Into Spring to life—a joyful celebration for over 100 children and their families from two Long Island shelters. The day was filled with creativity, laughter, and community spirit. Guests enjoyed hands-on gardening activities, interactive games, storytime, delicious snacks, ice cream treats, and a heartwarming visit from the Easter Bunny. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of compassion and collaboration in creating memorable experiences for families in need. - July/August 2025 – Give Back with a Backpack
Hosted three backpack distribution events across Queens and Long Island, NY, providing over 250+ backpacks filled with school supplies, lunch kits, t-shirts, and snacks to children living in shelters.
This initiative ensured students began the school year feeling confident, prepared, and supported. November 2025 – Season of Giving Begins
Our youth volunteers kicked off the holiday season by assembling 25 Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes for children in need. This initiative highlighted the power of small acts of kindness in creating meaningful impact.November 2025 – Coat & Winter Accessories Drive

Through our partnership with Target Lake Success, Compassion Champions provided wrapped gifts to children and families, helping make the holiday season extra special. This collaboration strengthened our ability to deliver meaningful holiday support to the families we serve.- December 2025 – Holiday Celebration & Toy Drive
Compassion Champions hosted a joyful holiday celebration, bringing together volunteers, teens, and community partners to support families in need. Because of generous contributions, we distributed 300+ toys, sneakers, backpacks, winter coats, winter accessories, and snacks. This event created a meaningful and uplifting holiday experience for children and families.

Volunteered in Westbury, NY, distributing over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in shelters, ensuring they started the school year prepared and confident. - November 2024 – Hygiene Kit Drive
